Snow is Starting to Bore Me
If you look back at that photo you can see my watermark in the bottom left corner – it is a brush based on a photograph of this very Rowan tree. This tree was originally planted along with a series of Rowan ans Laburnums to commemorate those making the sacrifice of fighting in world wars. Very few are surviving now and this one is on borrowed time. I have planted a Rowan in my garden and I hope when the time comes for this to be removed that the Council may allow me to provide a sapling to be planted in it’s place.
Another day spent in my walking boots – with white skies and white stuff falling out of them! It has been a proper full on blizzard from early morning until 6pm tonight and looking out into the garden where no one has tamped the snow down we have had around 40cm of snow this week altogether.
You can see how low the visibility is in the first picture and here is one along the road from the porch:
Okay I know it is pretty but I am fed up with it now … unfortunately two pooches I know think it is just as exciting as it was the first day it appeared. The floor in the utility room was getting so wet and slippery I put a strip of spare carpet down (an offcut form the stairs being done) Pup has tried three times to drag it through to he lounge – it is about 2 m long and 0.5 m wide and he folded it up to try and fetch it through.
So here are some pictures of the pooches playing in their winter wonderland:
