A Sky Heart

I have never seen such a complete heart shape made of cloud before – and glowing in the centre the bluest of blue skies.  It made me smile while I waited for the bus to Forfar to Sign On.

The dog walk was good – Pup was exceptionally well behaved and added a directional signal to his repertoire to avoid a repeat of him getting stuck behind a fence again.  Dog was good as gold since we met no one for him to get excited about!  We did see lapwing but I couldn’t get a decent photo – this was the nearest I could manage with my iPhone camera

The lapwing is the wee black smudge in the sky!  I really need to get down there without the dogs again and the SLR camera to take some better pictures and video of their display flights because they are awesome.

The driver needed the crib sheet I had from last time I used my discount card – but it worked.  It was one of the more new drivers so I make allowances for them not knowing a relatively rare fare.

Signing on was the usual farcical performance … ‘nough said? but it was over quickly today so I had a good wait at the High Street for the driver that provided the crib sheet so I was able to thank him.

Then I had to walk into Kirriemuir (the disadvantage of my discount travel card is it is only for return or single fares so I don’t get the all day ticket now when I go sign on) because it was Community Council.  I was expecting to meet with the new chairman before the meeting – I was there he wasn’t.  The old Secretary who stormed out returned expecting to slot back in – Chairman had to take her on one side for a discussion.  Meeting was far better run except for the new Chairman indicating that he didn’t give two hoots for our Governance … he isn’t interested in our code of practice – the problem being that those of us who stood for election stood against that Code of Practice and everyone who has subsequently been co-opted should have been with knowledge of our Governance – so where do I go now because I am very clear that if the CC no longer operates under our Governance it is not the organisation I stood for election to.  Most things have been deferred for another month … I could just sit down and weep!

(Pause while I spend an hour looking for a link online for one of the Community Councillors!)

So … I am just going to leave you with a beautiful pre-sunset (there would have been a full moon picture too but the could manage to get in the way before I could focus and click the shutter) …

About nonehpets

I have an interest in how interior design and adapting a home to support living independently for longer can be complementary. The blog Life Long Design is part of an holistic plan for establishing a social enterprise which will offer the people of Tayside opportunities to explore Telecare and the wider scope of assistive technologies. Enabling individuals to make more informed and responsible choices in the care and support they need in their independent living. I am also keen to see public transport more widely adopted and sustainable rural bus services in particular supported. The Blog Travels with a Megarider shares my journey to find serenity in my life as I make that transition form employment to social entrepreneur. One of my methods in increasing serenity is to travel as many miles as I can on a fixed price bus ticket and explore my own local places of interest. Places that I used to go past and had never stopped to look at; places of peace and tranquility; places where I have had some wonderful conversations with complete strangers. I would like to share with you a response to when I described that one paragraph in an e-mail made it sound simple: "Believe me, Cathy, it does not sound simple. You are taking on an incredible challenge for all the right reasons. It is ambitious and admirable - the sort of project that can change lives, including yours." He is right it is ambitious but when did we every achieve anything by settling for the status quo and ignoring what doesn't work for people? So I would welcome your company from time to time on this journey either simply as a reader or if you are brave enough adding your own thoughts to the comments as you feel moved.
