The North Wind Shall Blow …
… and we shall have snow and what will poor robin do then, poor thing? He’ll sit in a barn and keep himself warm and hide his head under his wing, poor thing
Today I would have loved to be a robin – the wind is belting at the front of the house, it was noisy most of the night, brought snow this morning and it has just started up something fierce again for tonight!
I have been finding it really hard to concentrate today; I don’t know whether a message I sent has been received which is frustrating and Toxic is back doing the exclude me until he needs something routine which leaves me concerned that he is not doing what he has said he will do; he needs to quickly move himself away from a situation and is finding it hard to cut himself free.
At the end of the day it is his choice – I have not told him to extricate himself, it is what he had chosen but he lacks resolve to carry things through often.
Waiting to hear anything is like sitting in front of the TV on Christmas Eve watching the Lotto superdraw – you cannot do anything to change the outcome and they seem to be taking forever to draw the numbers! This was why I did not intend to do anything further … it would have been easier for me to just keep on not caring and then not have the stress.
The other thing that is affecting my concentration is the food parcels thing! The dogs fell over one the other morning – sprouts, lettuce and an unwrapped cabbage. The food parcel got snowed on and then a few days later it mysteriously disappeared – the yesterday while I was on the phone with mother my mobile rang and it was the food parcel donor; I didn’t answer since I was busy but I am starting to feel like I am under siege and she is waiting to catch me in person with more food.
I have progressed some applications but not as far as I would have liked so will carry on with those tomorrow.
Then to blow away some of the cobwebs in my head and exercise the dogs we went off to the larch spinney. The lead walking was much better and apart from one pantoesque episode (I needed to pick up poo and between the wind, Pup and my gloved hands I lost several poo bags and then when I had bagged it Pup jumped up and snatched at the bag meaning I needed another!!) Pup was exceptionally well behaved. He took himself off to jump the drainage ditch and fetch a plastic bottle – then he jumped the ditch both ways several more times just for fun.
I did not take photographs today but you have two stills from the video clip above so you can see my lovely boy. I am sure it is just the weather – but I am tired so heading for an early night …
